Nature Preserve... 4 minutes walk from my flat...

I can't tell you how amazing it was this morning to get up at almost daybreak, to a beautiful sun rising over the city. I knew there was a park of somesort on the map, but it's not well labeled, it's the Hermitage of the Braids and Blackfoot Hills. It's a mini Arthur's seat in my own hood. This area of Morningside is so lovely. After my walk and exercise at The Hermitage I spent the morning reading "The Scotsman" newspaper and having a cofee at the wee shop on the corner. I now know the girl there, as well as Abdul and his brother who run the newsagent outside my flat. Needless to say I think I've chosen my kinda 'hood in which to settle.
The pics are of the view from Hermitage Hill, looking North towards City Centre, see the Edinburgh Castle in the middle. The other pics are of the swans in the pond at the bottom of the hill.
Somebody Stop me'!!!!!

Wow! I can't wait to visit you and walk all over town. Seems like you've met half the city already!
