The most glorious day yet...

Spent the day cruising up and down the Union Canal... runs from Edinburgh Quay to the Harrison Park. The Canal actually runs to Glasgow, turns into Strath/Clyde and then all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. The speed limit in the canal is 4 mph, so this is not a race, but it was the most peaceful, sunny, spectacular day. Boater are the same whereever you go, friendly and community oriented. I love it. It was really a work day for me with Re-Union, but the crowds we got on each of the three, one-hour cruises were so friendly and fun it was like being on Uncle Tom's boat back on the Missouri River. I couldn't ask for a better organization to be working for.
The pics are of the Swans who've nested on the canal.. they have three babies and three eggs in the nest, we're not sure if the other three are going to hatch, the Mama's already thrown one out, we saw it floating in the canal.. we know it wasn't a predator, foxes etc.. because they would have carried it off, but if it's a dead egg, she'll check it out of the nest, because it starts to decay. Look at this pic close you can see the "ugly ducklings."
The other pics are of the lively canal.. some hoodie boys fishing and just another shot of part of the canal as it cuts through the city...
AHHHH, what a day!
